Web design trends always keep on changing time to time; today we live in the year of 2011 and several trends that used to be the most effective ones in 2010 are not that effective anymore; new trends have taken their spots. Over the past few weeks I have searching over trends in web design to find out what is new today so I can share it with you people; according to my observation the trends given below are the latest ones so you need to take assistance from them in order to stay ahead of your competitors today.

Today we have a lesser use of flash. This does not means that flash is no more an excellent feature or technology but now you need to be more appropriate while using it. In the past few years, flash has been abused, misused, and overused by several people and therefore today it carries a bad reputation. In today’s world of web, you need to have a website that carries a design that is faster loading, uncluttered, clean, and on top of all other aspects; it should be friendly with the search engines. This is where flash begins to create problems. Also, there is a large number of people using mobile to surf internet; I guess now we are looking at the end of flash pretty soon.

You need to keep your design simple, clear and clean; stay at the minimal and go with an uncluttered web design. I would say that nothing proves to be more attention grabbing than a straightforward and honest message written on a simple board. Well, this simple board can be explained or taken in many various ways. You need to forget about those gray shades or black and white although these colors or themes still have their importance in various industries. How about now you focus on a little red, blue, green, and even yellow as your main colors. However, make sure that your palette does not have more than 3 colors. Your work should stay inside the shade of every color in order to achieve depth and variety. You will be amazed about how a few colors can do wonders and effectively deliver your message to the audience.

Also, your web design should be mobile friendly, should support netbooks, tablets, and the list has several more devices. Today, consumers have a number of mobile products that they use to open websites and surf the internet. This clearly means that your web design should carry support for more than just the common devices. Getting a website that is ready to support mobile devices is not an easy task; you will need to edit your existing web design. We have another great advancement today where you can design your entire website and your coding can be allowed to adjust according to the viewer’s medium; things cannot get any better. You might end up creating a website that is mobile friendly only but this will not satisfy your audience completely.

Your web design today should have the factors and features making sure that everyone surfing the internet through any means can easily view and navigate over your site.
